New Microsoft Enterprise Agreement

 

microwsoft pic Software Assurance, enhanced business integration, and improved productivity are some of the outcomes that government expects to reap with its new  Microsoft Enterprise Agreement (MEA).

The MEA is designed for organizations with five hundred plus (500+) devices or users and allows the Government to become fully compliant with its use of Microsoft products and services.

The agreement also allows for add-on items, which may be included in subsequent years and allows the Government to better audit and manage the Microsoft products used or required.

The MEA offering selected by the Government of Barbados is based on a three-year contract with a yearly fee.

Inova Solutions, a regional technology vender and local partner, Massy Technologies InfoCom will provide the ‘on the ground’ technical support to government entities, as part of the MEA.

The benefits of the new MEA.
1.    Software license compliance.
2.    Better software assurance, which in turn will stabilize budget predictability and boost organization productivity.
3.    Standardization of Microsoft platform which will be easier to support by local engineers.

Other benefits include:
•    Use of Windows enterprise edition.
•    Upgrade and downgrade rights.
•    Home use program for select employees.
•    24/7 support directly from Microsoft certified training centers.
•    Training vouchers to be used at Microsoft Certified training centers.

What products and services does the Enterprise Agreement contain?

The software offerings include:-
Microsoft Office Professional Plus, Enterprise Desktop, MS Project, Viso, SQL Server and Call, Skype for business, Windows Remote Desktop Services and Windows Server.   

Inclusive in the Enterprise Agreement is a customer care program offered by the provider which helps Government take full advantage of the agreement, its benefits, and additional services, ensuring engagement with the Government on an annual basis with respect to Government's growth planning, Infrastructure optimization, software asset management and the consumption of the software assurance benefits.
